This page explains how you can request the deletion of your Verba account and the personal
data associated with it. It applies to the Verba mobile and web application published by the Verba team.
1. Delete Your Account From Inside the App
The fastest way to permanently delete your account is directly within the Verba app:
- Open the Verba app and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll down to the Account section (the "Danger Zone").
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm when prompted. Your account and associated data are then permanently removed.
This action is permanent and cannot be undone. Once your account is deleted, your
learning progress, streaks, and saved content cannot be recovered.
2. Request Deletion by Email
If you cannot access the app, or your account is managed by a school or organization, you can request
deletion by email instead:
- Send an email to viralexee@gmail.com
from the email address associated with your account.
- Use the subject line "Verba Account Deletion Request".
- Include the name and/or email used to sign in so we can verify your identity.
We will process verified requests and confirm deletion within 30 days.
School-managed accounts: If your Verba account was created for you by a school or
organization, in-app self-deletion is disabled. Please ask your manager or platform administrator to
remove your account, or contact us using the email above.
3. What Data Is Deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove the personal data we hold about you, including:
- Your account and sign-in identity (name, email, and account identifier from Apple/Google Sign-In).
- Your profile and preferences.
- Learning progress: vocabulary progress, lesson and quiz history, achievements, streaks, daily goals, and
XP / leaderboard entries.
- AI companion (VerbAI) data: chat messages and attachments, companion memory and state, diary entries,
moods, daily reports, and voice-usage records.
- Reminders, notification settings, and push-notification tokens.
- Subscription entitlement records held by us (see retention note below).
- Support tickets and messages you have sent us.
- For teacher/student accounts: classroom membership, assignments, and related school records tied to your
user.
4. Data That May Be Retained
Some data may be retained after account deletion, only where necessary:
- Residual backups: Copies in our encrypted backups are purged on a rolling basis within
30 days of deletion.
- Purchase & transaction records: Payments are processed by the Apple App Store and
Google Play Store. Records required for tax, accounting, or legal compliance may be retained by those
stores and by us for the period required by law.
- Legal obligations: Information we are legally required to keep (for example, to comply
with applicable laws or resolve disputes) is retained only for as long as the law requires.
